We are an investigative agency. Electronic surveillance and counter surveillance skills and tools are very essential tools and skills for us to support our clients needs in a timely and efficient matter. These detectors are about the lowest priced, yet the ones most oftentimes used by our investigators over the last few years. They detect and identify the more common GPS and RF signals, cameras, magnetic mounts, etc. generally used in simple and very common residential, office, hotel, Air B&Bs, vehicular, body worn surveillance, etc. These are simple and effective in the hands of a properly trained and PATIENT user. Methodology is as important as technology successfully find intrusive, and or illegal covert surveillance equipment.
I purchased the K18 RF wireless detector hoping for a simple way to check for hidden cameras or other wireless devices, but it came with no manual. The device powered on and reliably lit up when I moved it near obvious wireless sources like our Wi-Fi router, which at least suggested it was detecting something. However, beyond that basic reaction, it was difficult to interpret what the lights or sensitivity levels actually meant, or how to distinguish between �normal� background signals and something potentially concerning.To be fair, I don�t have any technical background in RF detection, and this device seems to assume a level of prior knowledge that isn�t obvious from the packaging or instructions. Without clear guidance on calibration, expected signal behavior, etc, it was essentially impossible to use confidently on its own. Based on my experience, the K18 may be better viewed as a very rough indicator rather than a self-explanatory detection tool � useful only if you already know what you�re looking for, or are willing to accept a lot of ambiguity.

I expected products like this to be gimmicks, but how wrong I was. This spy detection tool actually works, and it works very well. With this tool, you can:- detect strong magnets that are used to connect trackers to metal surfaces- detect radio signals- locate camera lenses through the view finder- find weak Wi-Fi signals in your home to assist home mesh network setupYou are able to set the tool to beep when a signal is detected, or vibrate if you need to be less obvious. The radio signal detection has excellent range and adjustable sensitivity.The only thing that could be better, in my opinion, is the magnetic probe sensitivity. While it does work, it has very short range. The probe has to be very close to a magnet to actually signal. Even so, the extended gooseneck design makes it easier to work the probe through tight spaces to get as close as possible.Finally, the camera detection assistance isn't perfect, but I also don't know how it could be any better. You do have to use your own eyes and know where and what to look for. It will not alert you if a camera is found.Overall, I doubt you would find a better spy detection tool on the market that has better value than this one. I highly recommend it!

This privacy gadget does a solid job at spotting hidden camera lenses. Looking through the red viewer makes it easy to notice reflections you might otherwise miss. When it comes to finding Wi-Fi bugs or GPS trackers, it�s less consistent. You have to adjust the dial just right and be close enough for it to register anything. The directions aren�t very helpful, which makes learning how to use it a slow process. Still, it�s a decent buy for anyone mainly worried about hidden cameras, just expect to spend some time getting used to it.
I�ve become a big fan of SpySpot - not because I�m a private investigator or a double agent but because it�s good to know who might be spying on you and why they are doing it! That�s why I was so excited to review this camera finder by SpySpot.So does it work? YES! My close friend set up and plugged in a small plug in camera by Blink as well as a stand alone Ring camera to use as bait in her home. I had no idea if: a) there were ANY cameras actually set up and b) where they were set up.I was able to find both of them using this camera finder and lens detector. That makes me feel so much better because I now have a reliable way of finding any hidden cameras in hotels or short term rentals. It really helps my peace of mind when my husband and I travel!
This device works when it wants to, but it�s very inconsistent. Sometimes it detects things, sometimes it doesn�t, and there�s no clear pattern to when it decides to function. It also comes with no instructions, so you�re basically guessing how everything is supposed to work, including the magnetic probe feature. The concept is great, but the lack of guidance and unreliable performance make it hard to trust.Best Suited For:Someone who�s patient, tech-savvy, and willing to experiment to get basic results.Final Verdict:A promising tool that�s held back by inconsistency and zero documentation. Just okay.
