Installation & Setup Guide

Get your Spy Spot Digital Audio Recorder ready to use in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Charge the Device

• Connect the included Micro USB cable to the recorder.
• Plug the other end into a computer USB port or a standard USB wall adapter.
• Charge for 3 to 4 hours before your first use.

Step 2: Turn on the Device

• Find the ON/OFF switch on the side of the recorder.
• Slide the switch to the ON position.
• The indicator light will flash, showing the device is ready.

Step 3: Choose Your Recording Mode

You can use this device in two different ways:

• Continuous Recording: Slide the mode switch to standard recording. The device will record everything until you turn it off or the battery runs out.
• Voice-Activated Mode: Slide the mode switch to the voice activation setting. The device will stay quiet and only record when it hears sound over a certain volume.

Step 4: Save & Stop Recording

• Slide the power switch back to the OFF position.
• This action automatically saves your current audio file.
• Note: Always turn the device OFF before unplugging it or removing the battery to avoid losing your files.

Step 5: Listen to Your Files

You can listen to your recorded audio in three ways:

• Built-in Speaker: Press the physical Play button directly on the device.
• Earphones: Plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the audio jack.
• Computer: Plug the recorder into a PC or laptop using the USB cable to view, play, or save your files.
