Quick Setup Guide

Get your SPY SPOT WiFi Wall Charger Camera up and running in just a few minutes. Follow these simple steps to connect the camera to your iOS or Android smartphone.

Step 1: Download the App

1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Search for the free app named LookCam (or scan the QR code in your user manual).
3. Download and install the app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Power On the Camera

1. (Optional) Insert a formatted MicroSD card (up to 64GB) into the hidden card slot if you want to save recorded footage.
2. Plug the USB Charger Camera directly into a standard AC wall outlet.
3. Wait 1 to 2 minutes for the camera's internal WiFi module to boot up completely.

Step 3: Connect to the Camera's Temporary Hotspot

1. Open the Settings menu on your smartphone and go to your WiFi settings.
2. Look for a new, long wireless network name consisting of a mix of letters and numbers (e.g., F123456... or GXXXXXX...). This network will not have a password.
3. Tap to connect to this camera network.
   Note: Your phone might display a warning saying "No Internet Access." This is normal. Stay connected to this network.

Step 4: Link the Camera to the App

1. Open the LookCam app on your phone.
2. The app should automatically detect the camera and a prompt will pop up asking: "Do you want to connect the device to the router?"
3. Tap OK or Configure.

Step 5: Connect to Your Home WiFi (Remote Viewing)

1. Select your local home/office 2.4GHz WiFi network from the list displayed on the screen. (Please note: This camera does not support 5GHz WiFi bands).
2. Carefully type in your exact home WiFi network password.
3. Tap Confirm.
4. The camera will reboot and connect to your home router. This process takes about 1 minute. The camera network will disappear from your phone's WiFi settings list, and your phone will reconnect to your normal network.

Step 6: Live View & Success

1. Open the LookCam app again.
2. The camera status should now display as "Online."
3. Tap the camera preview to view your live, real-time 1080P video stream from anywhere.

Quick Troubleshooting Tips

• Camera isn't showing up in WiFi list? Use the included reset pin to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds while the unit is plugged in. Wait 1 minute for it to reboot.
• App says "Device Offline"? Ensure your smartphone is connected to the internet and that you typed your home WiFi password correctly during Step 5.
• Video is choppy? Make sure the wall charger is plugged into an outlet within reasonable range of your home WiFi router.
